pan roasted sirloin with corn salsa.

Do you ever have those moments where life feels so totally out of control that you want to stop everything and bring order and beauty to just one thing within your reach?

That was my night tonight.

And so, in the midst of the chaos, I roasted sirloin steaks for Andrew and I and chopped up a corn salsa.

And it was beautiful.

Nevermind that we had 10 minutes to scarf them down between evening activities, or that the house was a disaster, or that the kids interrupted our conversation 27 times…it was my own way of bringing a little sanity to an otherwise bizarrely crazy day.

All those colors, so summery and pretty.

What about you? What do you do to bring a sense of calm to your day?

PS – I scored some major points with Andrew…red meat is his love language.

Sprinkle cumin, salt and pepper on sirloin.
