wine friday: callaway sauvignon blanc.

I’m finding it a bit hard to buy white wine these days as the thermometer begins to drop, but my fine friends at Trader Joes assured me this was a good bet.  And sure enough I counted 4 other people meandering around the store with the same bottle of wine in their cart.  Maybe the happy employees at Trader Joes were doing some social experiment to see how many lemmings they could get to drive away with this particular wine in the span of 30 minutes…

Also, stay tuned for outtakes from our photo shoot when I put Emma in charge of styling the shot.

For our consideration:  Callaway Sauvignon Blanc 2010

This wine is full bodied, fresh and fruity.  It is crisp with a clean finish.

Pairs well with dishes containing bell peppers, basil, cilantro, arugula, goat cheese, chicken or balsamic vinegar.

$4.99 at Trader Joes.

Happy Friday!

And now for Emma’s original photo shoot:

“Mama, I’ll set up the wine shot for you using some of the food from my kitchen” (she’s 3)…

  1. Sauv Blanc isn’t my favourite, I;d give it a go though 😀 It’s impressively cheap.

    • Whites generally aren’t my favorite…do you have a TJ’s near you?

  4. Trader Joe’s is not allowed to sell wine in the state my husband and I recently moved to. We may have reconsidered the move if we had known we would no longer be able to buy the 3-4 buck chucks from TJ’s! J/K…They do have some GREAT wine for some awesome prices, though!

    • Are you kidding me? I totally would have reconsidered the move! To not be able to buy wine from Trader Joes – that’s the real crime!
      Thanks for the feedback!
